Description
Areas of application
- Total pressure measurement: Determination of total, static and dynamic pressure in flow fields.
- Flow vector measurement: Detection of the velocity vectors of a flow field.
Functionality and advantages
- Measurement principle:
- Total pressure is measured via a tube directed perpendicular to the flow.
- Static pressure is determined by wall pressure holes.
- Dynamic pressure results from the difference between total and static pressure.
- Calibration:
- At the institute's high-speed calibration channel (HGK).
- Numerical calibration for flow probes.
- Probe adjustment: Radial and peripheral adjustment devices developed in-house enable flexible alignment.
Measurement variables
- Total pressure, static and dynamic pressure.
- Velocity vectors in the flow field.
- Total temperature (for probes with integrated thermocouple).
